Several little firms worked on the old John McClory Works that stood at the corner of Headford Street and Milton Street, you entered by going through the large gate just above the old Bedord Van. Samuel Peace's cutlery works were still there in the middle seventies but had been demolished by 1990. The windows that run above the John McClory name was the Samuel Peace works, that was all they had just one workshop. They moved into what was the John Street works on John Street.
